New recipe... Anyone like Alfredo Pasta

I tried a new Kraft Foods recipe tonight. It was for Chicken Alfredo Pesto Pasta. Well I altered it a bit and left the pesto part out, but it turned out pretty darn good.

Let me give you a little knowledge about myself before I get to the recipe link. My favorite food is Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo. Not just any Alfredo will do though.... I am very partial to Olive Garden's specifically. Josh always makes fun of me when I try Alfredo at any other restaurant, because he knows I am not going to like it as much as the Olive Garden version. Well, he is usually correct, but I do occasionally like to eat it at home and so I have tried many recipes to no avail.

But, I think I have found a good second place winner for my serious fetish of Alfredo.

Oh yeah , Oh yeah.... I am almost done

So, I went shopping today for Christmas gifts. I was supposed to work today but ended up getting most of the day off (I had to work for about an hour before my boss informed me that she needed me to trade and work for her tomorrow). So, I went by the church to check in on the staff meeting. Since most of the staff wasn't there today because of the holiday week, it lasted a few minutes and then we did a little bit of cleaning and I was out of there.

Next, I went out to some stores (can't say where since Josh reads this blog and I shopped for him too) and began knocking items off the list. I am super serious when I say that I want to be done by the second week of December with all my shopping. I am pretty sure that won't be a problem. I completely finished Josh's shopping today!!! I wasn't sure what I was going to get him until I was out and found some cool stuff.

I only have 6 people left on the list and then Josh has to shop for me and we are DONE. One of the above mentioned 6 is nothing more than money, so technically I only have 5 people left. I am really having trouble with the dads this year. If anyone has any ideas about gifts for Dads let me know.

Well time to start working on some wrapping.

34 days till Christmas

Josh had a suggestion...

Tonight Josh worked late and when he arrived home I had dinner ready and on his plate. I tried a new recipe tonight from www.kraftfoods.com. I went to the website the other day and they have a great feature called "1 bag, 5 meals". It actually gives you a meal plan for days and the shopping list to go with it. You really should check it out.. it is a real gem when you don't feel like planning meals, but have to eat on a budget. So, anyways, about Josh's suggestion. After dinner, which he really liked, he said I should start posting recipes on here to share with everyone. So, here is the first one.

Creamy Chicken Spaghetti

This is the dish I made tonight and it was really good. It is very easy. I made dinner in about 30 minutes or less. It was a rich creamy sauce, and paired very nicely with the chicken and zucchini.

Catching up with the times

I finally succeeded in catching up with the times. I have been a registered user on Bloglines for a long time, but never really understood how to use it. Until now! I spent about an hour on Thursday adding feeds to my account. I now have 28 feeds on there and I love it already. I just check in periodically to see if any new posts have been made. Now before I actually used my bloglines account, I used to go to each blog via links on other people's blogs. It would take me forever to go and find out that no one had added anything, ANYWHERE. I must say that I am quite proud of myself for finally setting this thing up, and without Josh's help. That makes it even more special to me.

Christmas Goal

I have decided that this year for Christmas, I am going to work really hard at having all my shopping finished by the second week of December. This will allow me at least a week to get everything wrapped and put together before the trip home on Dec. 23.

So, I pose this question to all the local gals here in NW Arkansas that I know: Anyone want to go out tomorrow with me to start the preliminary shopping? I may buy a few things, but I mainly want to get prices for some gifts I may be interested in buying.
