The Bestest Friday

Friday was a great day! Mid morning I received my pay stub(s) that included a bonus check and a paycheck with a raise. I was super excited because I had no idea it was coming. SO after a good day (no Doug). I had Josh take me to NWACC to get my book for my Beginning Algebra class that starts tonight. (I'll post about my first math class in over 5 years later). While we were there, I found a girl that had the book I needed and an answer book for the questions in the chapters. She sold me the book that would have cost me about $90.00 for a whopping $30.00. How cool is that, and she gave me the answer book too! So, as our evening progressed on Josh and I decided to take our Christmas money and some money from my bonus and go buy our I-pod. We found a 30GB Black one for $299.99. We of course then had to buy a case and an I-trip and all the neccesary accesories for it. Woot woot! The funniest thing happened after all the excitement of our I-purchases... Josh ran over a stationary curb with our car, after I told him to watch out for it! It was super funny since shortly after we bought our car I hit a stationary light pole in the Staples parking lot and he still picks on me about it. Now, there will be no more picking on me, cause he hit something stationary too!

We went to Fuddruckers for dinner and it wasn't very good. Then we went and did some more shopping for stuff we needed to clean our house and organize before Aaron's arrival. SO that pretty much was my bestest Friday.

On a more serious note: My Aunt by marriage fell out of her barn loft on Monday night and broke her neck in 4 places, it is a miracle she is even alive the doctors have said. She also miraculously was able to walk back to her house where my Uncle was sleeping (he works 3rd shift). I guess she was unconscious for over 2 hours after the fall. SHe is in the hospital and has some brain swelling now. I would ask that you please say a prayer for her (Wendy) and my family as they are going through this ordeal.

The New Year, the new routine

I started back into an exercise routine this week! KeyPoint Church has Josh and I on a corporate membership to the Village Athletic Club. I went Tuesday night and tongiht to the spinning or cycling classes. They are upbeat, and a good cardio workout to music. It is a class full of people, but it is really just you and the bike. I don't feel too bad for my first week. My butt bones hurt though from the seat. I can tell you that my thigh muscles are already getting toned. If you ever get a chance and want a good workout, check out a spin class near you, you won't regret it!
