I Hate Tuesdays

I have come to realize that I have a real distaste for every Tuesday. It seems as though that day has become the day from "hell" for me. For most people Mondays are the day that seem to be so rough, but not me.

Every Tuesday is a little different... but it all comes down to this: I always have some major castastrophe at work that has to be dealt with immediately and is never easy to fix, and then I have to make time to actually take a lunch and go home to get my books for class in the evening. 90% of the time I am rushed to get home to pick up my books and get a lunch and get back to work to to continue to fix the problem that has occured. TO add to this mess a lot of times there is some issue that comes up from the home front that has to be dealt with as well.

Today's issues are a continuation of yesterday...

The Internet at my office was not working yesterday, so I call and get our computer support people to come and get it fixed. Well, they fix mine, but we find out today the system as a whole is not fixed because my boss Randy cannot access the internet. Let me just tell you that when stuff like this happens, he becomes a very impatient, know-it-all type of person. Everything I say is questioned and I didn't handle the situation properly, etc., etc., etc. So, here I am dealing with him and trying to get a couple of things done for my other boss who, by the time I arrived at work, had left me 2 messages of things to do this morning. One of which included finding out if his wife could travel to Las Vegas with him when he attends a huge convention there. Now mind you, the convention is only 4 weeks away and I made the travel arrangements for this trip over 2 months ago and had problems getting good flights and such. There literaly are several hundred thousand people that converge on the city for this event. What I think really upsets me is she was given an opportunity to go when I originally made the arrangements and she said no, but she has changed her mind and now I have to figure out a way to make it happen. Right!

I guess I am overreacting a little but I am just so frustrated with the way I get treated when things like the internet happen and when I am expected to make the impossible happen. My bosses give me no respect and question every decision I make. So how am I supposed to be an Office Manager if I can't make a decision without it being deemed improper. I would really love to just sit them down and say, "If you want me to handle things, then trust my choices and give me an opportunity to show you that I made the right one, instead of just saying it was wrong. Let things play out once in a while and see that I may not do things the way you would, but I still make it happen"

So, basically every Tuesday is like this. I am stressed out and feel like crap by the time I go to class in the evening and then I don't get to bed til really late and have to get up and do it all over again. I am just exhausted from my Tuesday already !

Cleaning....check; waiting impatiently...check

Well here it is Saturday afternoon at about 4:15p.m. and I have finished cleaning my house and getting ready. Now I am just waiting impatiently for the WFFC gang to arrive in Rogers. They called about 3:30p.m. to tell us they were getting on the road to drive here. It takes about 2 hours from Tulsa, so they should arrive sometime around 5:30p.m. I will have to play games and such to keep busy till they arrive. We may go to dinner at Copeland's New Orleans Restaurant. It is kinda expensive but pretty good food. Either that or we will go to Moe's (see Aaron's blog)
