My parents took Mollie to get groomed yesterday and now she looks so much better.


I love how she has her eyes closed while my dad is holding her close to his face.

Finally something worth blogging about

I want to introduce you to my new sister. This is not the kind of sister you might imagine, but she is a part of the family.

She is a bit scruffy and scroungy looking here, but that will change as of tomorrow.

My parents just got her today. She is a 1 year old bichon frise and poodle mixed breed. My parents inherited her from a family that is moving away and cannot take the dog with them. They got her, the kennel, and a ton of other stuff for her, FREE! My mom called me this morning to tell me about her and I could hear my dad in the background playing with her. I am very happy for them, because they really needed a companion. My mom is at home by herself a lot and I think Mollie will be a great pal for her. My dad, well he just loves animals. My mom told me that Mollie lived in an apartment before she came to live with them. She did not have an opportunity to run outside and play without being on a leash. Now, she can go outside and run around the fenced in back yard, and I guess she loves it. Also, in the second picture you can see that my dad was giving her a bone, and she likes to take it into the kitchen where the floor is tiled, throw it up in the air and then chase it. I guess the fun part is sliding all around the floor trying to get the bone!

I guess Mollie went into heat today, and my parents did not know that she was going to. They had to find out the hard way. Now they have to go out to the store and buy the puppy diapers until she is finished. I am sure they will have her spayed as soon as possible. She is going to be groomed tomorrow morning, so I will post some pictures of her once she is pretty and not so scruffy looking.
