Weekend in Review
On Friday evening after work, our friends Shawn & Whitney and Josh & I went to dinner at a place in Springdale called AQ Chicken House. Supposedly, this restaurant was former President Bill Clinton's favorite restaurant. Well we didn't think it was that great and spectacular. After our "ok" dinner, we headed back toward the North and our home town of Rogers. We decided to go see a movie at our local theatre, MALCO. We were somewhat early so we stopped off at the Barnes & Noble to browse. Whitney & I went to the Christian section to check out the inspirational reading, while our creative genius husbands ventured to the magazine rack to seek out the newest design ideas. As we finally arrived at the movie we quickly realized that this is "the place to be" on the weekends for teenagers. I haven't seen that many loud, crazy teens since summer camp( there weren't as many teens, but they were really loud and crazy). We had decided earlier in the evening that we would see the new Will Smith movie, "Hitch". Well that was a great move, cause it was really funny, or at least I thought so. After the movie we all went back to our house to visit with Kafka for a few minutes before ending the night and heading of to bed. At some time during the night I was invited to join Whitney at a scrapbooking "Crop" session on Saturday from 3PM- 12midnight. I excitedly accepted.
On Saturday, Josh & I, of course slept in. I woke up on my own at about 11AM. He finally woke from his state of hibernation at around noon. I immediately began preparing a bag of pictures and scrapping items to take to the "Crop" that afternoon. I decided to began working on Josh & I's Wedding Album. Josh had to go and finish up some work for the church, so he got ready and headed off. I got ready and then Whitney picked me up so we could shop the Hobby Lobby before we began our scrap books at the session. We were there for like an hour looking at everything they had. If you like to scrap that is definitely the place to seek out supplies. Whitney and I finally arrived at the "Crop" session around 4PM and began working diligently on our books. At around 11:3PM we finally packed up and headed home. We had so much fun. I was able to get all of my pages covered with paper, so I can begin laying out my photos, and then adding embellishments to finish it up. Whitney got 3 pages completely finished.
On Sunday we had our 2nd service. It went well, Casey's message was really intense and seemed to keep most everyone pretty interested. We had a family day after service. We had inflatable games for the kids and fed everyone sub sandwiches, and pizza. I think we had enough to feed an army, but we ran completely out of food. Then of course we had to tear everything down. When Josh & I got home, we layed down to take a nap, since we had been up so late the night before. I slept for 31/2 hours. At 5:3PM we woke up. Whitney and Shawn had invited us over for dinner, so around 7PM we went to their apartment and had Enchiritos, both chicken and beef, beans, rice and chips & salsa. It was all so good! We played "Scene It" and taught both of them how to play Euchre, since they had never heard of it. They play Spades.
Over all it was a busy, but extremely fun weekend. I hope everyone had fun at the True Love Waits dinner, I enjoyed seeing the pics that ya'll have posted.
Love ya,
